About Me
Hi, I'm Mariam.
I'm a Registered Psychotherapist offering virtual therapy.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in curiosity. I support adults, youth, and couples navigating complex inner experiences , from anxiety and shame to family dynamics, cultural identity, relationship patterns, and the stories we carry.
I work from an integrative and relational foundation, drawing from Art Therapy interventions, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Narrative Therapy, and mindfulness-based approaches. As a first-generation Arab immigrant woman, I bring a multicultural perspective that helps me attune to the layers of identity, intergenerational experience, and systemic context that shape each person’s story.
I speak Arabic and French, and while I offer sessions in English, these languages — and the cultural experiences they carry — inform how I listen, connect, and make space for nuance in the therapy room. My background in journalism also influences how I work: with a deep respect for story, careful listening, and a sensitivity to what is said — and what’s held between the lines.
Therapy with me isn’t about fixing what’s “wrong.” Instead, we’ll explore what’s been hard, what’s been protective, and what’s ready for change. My hope is that we create a space where emotion, insight, and complexity are all welcome to explore your unique story.
I don’t follow a script. The process is collaborative, and we move at a pace that feels right for you. I believe that with curiosity and care, it’s possible to understand yourself in new ways and begin to move differently through the world.
